New Exam Pattern for Upsc Civil Services (Prelims)….
UPSC has released about the changes in the mains examination in civil services. The student’s duty is to have awareness about recent new examination and their details. What are the brief changes? After seeing all the changes in the notification the main base in that should be given important. And the preparation for the examination should be in a planning and in intelligent manner to get success in that.
The expectations of the 3 lakhs candidate’s parents and relatives have come to an end by the release about the civils examination. In a recent survey says that 30,000 people are showing their interest in civils in our state. After the changes in preliminary’s, from that time there has been expectations, discussion about the changes in mains.
If there are changes in examinations usually there will tension in the candidates without any changes in the preliminary, the changes have been made in the mains examinations? According to the changes, the importance for general studies has been increased and optional importance has been reduced. It is the main thing from 1200 marks, English comprehension and phrase paper has made compulsory.
Compulsory papers five: –
Based on new examination method (compulsory papers) has become five.
Paper – I:- Essay and English-composition is on the same way. Along with the phrase writing, English comprehension has also included. Before English marks are considered only for qualification. But now it is considered for Ranking.
Paper – II:- This is general studies-1 –Indian heritage and culture, world history, geographical situations, society.
Paper – III:- This is general studies-2 – Governess, constitution, polity, social justice, international relations.
Paper – IV:- This is general studies-3 –Technology, Economic development, Bio-diversity, Environment, Security, Disaster management.
Paper – V:- This is general studies-4 –Ethics, Integrity, Aptitude.
Paper – VI:- This is for 250 marks. Optional -1 paper.
Paper –VII:- This is also for 250 marks. Optional – 2 paper.
Important Points: –
- English has become compulsory. The marks scored in this will be included in Ranking.
- The importance has been doubled for General studies. Papers have been increased from two to four.
- In General studies-1, history part-Indian culture, world history will come. The world physical geography in prelims is also there in mains. The importance is given to physical part.
- The recent happenings and also included with old one in Indian polity. The importance has been reduced to International Relations. Social justice is also included.
- Economic development plays a vital role. Bio- diversity has main role. Disaster management is also added to the importance.
- Two optional has become one marks has also reduced.
- Studying degree in Telugu can only write a civil examination in Telugu is a rule. (Studying in Telugu medium at school level is not applicable). It went on to discussions.
Which candidates what to do?
For the candidates who do last try in civils: – By keeping syllabus in mind most of the time should be given to General studies. The candidates should not postponing the try is not good as the age only will be crossed.
The candidates who are going to write: – Due to changes in the syllabus, it is necessary to be conscious in the preparation of basics. From degree second year itself this should be followed. After that you should have awareness in day to day affairs.
What to read, Listen?
Due to the changes in syllabus there are books and magazines which are compulsory to read. News and discussions in the radio should be given importance.
*International and national related news should be instantly read. NCERT books and other General studies parts should read constantly.
*Poverty, development, population, in all these related problems should be given importance.
*Publications Division ‘India Yearbook’ useful schemes, Health, Education, and Human Resources related parts are there in this book.
*Social justice-Indian society related parts can be prepared from 11, 12 standard books.
*Security related parts and awareness about that should be listened instantly from all India Radio.
Optional details in syllabus: – In civils examination optional subjects are given less importance now. But now new syllabus public Administrartion, Socialogy, Anthropology, Cycology. Histories are in the related manner.
